Visium Joins University of Florida’s Florida Semiconductor Institute as Industry Affiliate

Visium has joined the Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI) at the University of Florida as an Industry Affiliate, connecting the company with Florida’s growing network of semiconductor innovators, researchers, and industry leaders.

FSI serves as a statewide hub for semiconductor research, workforce development, and industry collaboration, bringing together businesses, academic institutions, and government organizations to advance semiconductor technology and strengthen Florida’s innovation ecosystem.

Through Visium UltraLabs, the company is advancing ultra-wide-bandgap semiconductor technology, with a focus on developing commercially viable Far-UVC LEDs. The underlying materials technology also holds potential for next-generation RF and power electronics in aerospace, defense, and other demanding applications.

As an Industry Affiliate, Visium looks forward to engaging with FSI’s network, participating in industry initiatives, and exploring opportunities to advance emerging semiconductor technologies.
