Miami Dolphins Expand Visium Far-UVC Across Baptist Health Training Complex
The 2026 expansion adds 39 Visium fixtures across the players’ position rooms and coaches’ offices, extending continuous environmental hygiene throughout more of the team’s daily training environment.
Just ahead of the start of 2026 training camp, the Miami Dolphins significantly expanded the use of Visium Far-UVC technology throughout the state-of-the-art Baptist Health Training Complex.
The latest phase adds 39 Visium fixtures across nine position rooms and three coaches’ offices, covering 6,663 square feet. It builds on the Dolphins’ initial 2025 deployment of 15 Visium fixtures in the main athletic training room and three exam rooms, covering 2,618 square feet. The expansion brings the overall installation to 54 Visium fixtures across key player health, preparation and staff environments.
The expansion marks an important evolution in how the Dolphins are using Visium: from targeted player health spaces into the rooms where players and coaches meet, prepare and spend significant portions of their day.

Competition gets the attention, but athletes spend much of their working day indoors. Training rooms, position rooms, meeting spaces, recovery areas and coaches’ offices are where players and staff meet, prepare and spend extended periods together. Addressing the Air We Share in Real Time

A University of Arizona quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) evaluated Visium in representative occupied environments, including waiting areas, an open office and a lecture hall. After just 15 minutes of operation, the analysis found approximately 17-fold to nearly 30-fold lower modeled airborne infection risk, depending on the environment and scenario.
The findings provide a tangible example of how continuous Far-UVC can help reduce airborne transmission risk in shared indoor environments, particularly in spaces where people spend extended periods together.

“We’re always looking for ways we can reduce the spread of infection and keep our team healthy throughout the year,” Johnston said. “Visium allows us to do that without any hindrance to the players or our training staff during the workday.”
The 2026 expansion takes that approach significantly further. What began in the main training room and exam rooms now extends into the position rooms and coaches’ offices where preparation happens every day.
